38 - The power of Friendship (and this gun we found)

We managed to stop just in time in front of Ludwig's ramen stool, who's yelling at us until he realizes it's us.
We throw a rope and he climbs up pretty quickly. He gets on the side of the ship and reaches the deck.
A Wigglethump Fluxbracer purpose is to avoid collapsing with other elements and staying on the "waters" of the Astral Sea.
After searching for a bit, Naus mentions there's one waypoint near Paildreo's home station, but the home station would be before that waypoint.
As we somewhat agree to tow him, and he gets back to his ship, starting the towing procedure. The Spelljammer ships seems to start a parade similar on how dogs sniff between themselves and they establish some kind of procedure to... assert each other?
At the end, all that matters, is that Ludwig's ship is behind Naus, and we manage to tow him.
(Some stuff out there is really messed up, I can't believe I had to write that. I mean I recall seeing Persy being mildly confused, and one of the few times Balnorin prayed after rolling his eyes.)
Just when we're about to resume, a door opens and we notice Sprigg throwing a temper tantrum.
On these words, walls appears to shape a room which Sprigg enters, and after a while we hear music loudly play, sitting on the edge of our Spelljammer deck, but somehow, it doesn't affect the flight.
We notice Or smiling towards us when we look above. And they walk down the mat, standing on the deck, in the middle of all of us.
A gold knocker appears on the ship.
As we're about to end our chat with Or, we're hearing a distant screaming and a small round object slams on the ship, and it clatters to the ground until reaching the deck. As it shakes and appears, it's a small pygmy skeleton.
Then they disappears. The skeleton holds a piece of paper and goes to see Persy.
Persy takes the paper and unfolds it, it's white piece of parchment with a center of it, a large black spot.
The skeleton leaves and jumps out of the deck without a word and gets spaghettified.
Ludwig with his noodles reaches out the deck.
Then comes a moment of banter to double check why we would receive that paper, and mostly what to ease the situation, as after all we did agree to do something on Detrine for them, but we haven't done it nor give back the item.
We're not really sure what to do to ease the situation.
The first step would be to reach a Death Inc associate, which may be present on the Waypoint we're going for Ludwig.

Finally, we're able to enter into the Hyperdrive mode, we have around 4 hours before arriving to destination.
Nesvalyn is going back and forth between his room and the Portable Hole then stayed in his room for an hour, and finally brought a box filled with stuff back to his section, getting back with a somewhat mended outfit which fits his new physique, combining his "formal" outfit stitched with the froufrous and other pieces from the fancy suit he bought for the Bal Night, back in Saltspocket.
As he deems being ready, he spends some time with his fellow peers, mostly with Persy and Axel. Many subjects were aborted during the remaining hours, starting with the approach, as Persy and Axel convinces Nesvalyn to use and keep the Cloak of [Alter Self] to stay in disguise, at least until he reaches Paildreo, as Nesvalyn didn't want to lie to them.
The trio makes a pause in their discussion, after Nesvalyn smiling while being scolded by them.
Nesvalyn chuckles nervously, while wiping a tear.
As the group finishes to share some moments, we're getting nearby our destination.
We're finally reaching the Gamma Station 387, except that the Scrap Queen failed to mention that it's in danger, as it appears it's under attack by a large meteor or crystals, with a mess going around the station.
From the outside we see mostly the mist, but there is something wrong, as this meteor is very close to the station.
[Insight] Nesvalyn is having that weird familiar tingle.
We're receiving a broadcast from the station when we're getting nearby.
Naus gives old space suits with fishbowl helmets.
We notice a light that allows the wielder to show or hide their face when we put them.
And we dock to the station, almost ready to get in.
We board off and enter the station. It's really dark and in that purple mist we can see bodies of astronauts, turning into crystals.
The room is really quiet, and we hear gunshots and deep guttural screams from afar.
We're illuminating our gear, and Persy uses his Driftglobe to cast [Daylight] around us. But we see there are creatures nearby, which we mistaken for a pyramid of crystal, and they hiss and click and get outside the rubble.

Nesvalyn aims and throws a psy dagger (hits for 22 dmg (seems to resist)).
They attack one by one - miss on Axel, miss on Nesvalyn, miss on Persy, hits on Balnorin (14 piercing - not helmet), misses on Reylynn
Reylynn throws her spear at an enemy (hits once for 21 dmg)
Balnorin summons his [Spiritual Weapon] (hits for 11 dmg) and prepares for Attack.
Axel attacks the one attacking Balnorin (crits for 62 dmg 💀), then attacks the one who attacked them (misfires) and repairs it.
Persy casts [Shatter] on the enemies (hits two for 15 dmg) and let an horrifying high pitch scream, then Ozzy shoots the one attacking Persy (hits for 8 dmg), and goes into the air with the boots.

Balnorin casts [Sacred Flame] on the one on Reylynn (deals 4 radiant) then attacks with the [Spiritual Weapon] (miss).
Axel attacks the one attacking Nesvalyn (hits for 30 dmg 💀) then on Reylynn (hits for 23 dmg 💀)
Persy uses his Light Crossbow to attack back (hits for 4 dmg) then throws his shield at an enemy (miss), then Ozzy attacks it (hits for 6 dmg)

Balnorin casts [Guiding Bolt] (miss) and uses his Longtooth’s Trinket.

We turn off the [Daylight] before progressing.
We make our way to the stairs, and going through safely as we can, we all stop at a corner.
When looking, we can see the doors that leads to the mess hall the private described, except there are 3 much larger morphoids in the way. Their attention is on the mess hall and not on us.
Nesvalyn enables the Psychic Whispers with the party for 7h.
We plan to make an ambush and take them down together and as fast as possible.
[Stealth - Pass ✔] Axel changes corners to adjust themselves.
Persy lends a light crossbow to Nesvalyn, as the daggers don't seem efficient.

The last Morphoid speeds up then attacks Persy (hits twice for 39 dmg) and rips Persy's helmet off.

Persy disengages and runs away in panic, Ozzy tries to attack it (miss)
Axel reloads, then attacks (hits for 33) ands moves away and uses Second Wind (heals 11 HP)

Persy panics a bit as his helmet as been removed, but he mentions that as he doesn't need to breath, he doesn't seem affected by the Minero Morphosis, or perhaps it's his warforged nature which saves him. Until then, we hope he's right, and he puts back the helmet before we reach the door, and knock to announce ourselves. We hear muffled voices from the other side.
We hear a button press on their side and a metal sheet encloses us behind, and the vents sucks out the crystal goo we had on us, and shoots us with that gaz, refreshing but sterile.
The bulk door opens and we're pulled into the mess hall and it closes behind us.
The mess hall is big enough to hold between 200 and 300 recruits easily. However, there are around 60 recruits right there, and standing in front of us is a Kitsune woman, wearing a combat helmet with visor with a gun at her hip.
When Nesvalyn removes his helmet, the party notices a silver dragonborn, revealing Nesvalyn before he got infected, as he used the Cloak of Alter Self. Balnorin and Reylynn remove their helmets right after.
They manage to calm down.
Then we banter and organise a bit, as the plan it to make them hold the ground while we check the officers and higher ups, as we guess they're preparing an anti-ship weapon, or at least have a plan to destroy it. We validate this strategy between ourselves, and try to guide the recruits.
[Insight - Pass ✔] Axel has some memories flowing back, and they start mechanically to give orders and place the recruits efficiently.
Along that, Persy gets an automatic rifle (deals 2d8 piercing, has 60 ammos, range 80/400).
When we're about to live, the private Mallory wishes us luck on our operation, and we pass the door, and try to go silently.
[Stealth - Fail ❌] We're kind of stealthy?
As we make it through the hall and avoiding the monsters as best as we can, we make our way in a training hall, where we notice the stairs on the other way. However a whole gang of small Morphlings and two big Morphoids are on the way.
As we get closer to the room, we see a humanoid figure fighting Morphoids on the catwalk.
When looking closer, Paildreo is fighting in an admiral armor. We can't really see them, but Nesvalyn knows it's them.
They have two guns firing leaving a conclusive blast which explodes them, clearing a path to the hallway and hits a button to close the way behind them. Near grasp, but separated by a bunch of Morphlings and Morphoids who spotted us.
