Ephan the Surreal is the Tsoimreck Family Circus main host, being mysterious and fabulous and taking care of the people under them, including Sprigg and Sabine.
We later learned that they're the Wonder of Heavens and in a relation with the Wonder of Waves.

The Wonder of the Heavens holds dominion over the heavenly bodies, the sky, and creatures of flight. The position also, in a less literal sense, holds dominion over beauty and the concepts of cosmic design. It is also believed that Wonder of the Heavens one day will bring about the end of times. The position is a double edged sword; whoever inherits the mantle can see the beauty and majesty of the cosmos, while also understanding how truly small Wundera is in the grand scheme.
