The Minero Morphosis is a parasite from the Astral Sea present across many planes of existence, having the potential to ravage worlds and deities. The victims undergo a transformation into a Crystalline entity, developing psionic abilities while transforming and going more and more deranged, until their transformation is complete. It's been said that their final form could match the power of deities, bring doom on their path.
In case the victim dies before finishing their metamorphose, they will turn into an inanimate crystal entity. Yet even in this state, they are still dangerous, as any person hurting themselves on the crystal will contract the virus. Along that, if the entity is destroy, it explodes, contaminating the area around them.
Update from 30 - Chaos in Halloween Town: Thanks to the animated picture of Paildreo and the book I found, I got more info about the parasite and learned that people turn into Minero, which I suppose are the Crystalline entity it's been referenced.
Update from 38 - The power of Friendship (and this gun we found) and 39 - Family reunion: We encountered the Minero and some of their subspecies, the "normal" subjects turn into these crystalline reckless bugs, such as Morphoid and Morphling. However, it may happen in some cases that the Minero Morphosis doesn't take fully over its host, and they retain their humanoid shape and retain most of their ability, to which you add psychic powers. These ones are Minero Hybrid, which I, Nesvalyn, is part of this category. However, it seems that in this case, you need to "ascend". I don't really know what the idea is, but my Minero siblings asked me to cross my friends and join them, so if it's a choice, perhaps there's hope for the other Minero Hybrid-kin, and perhaps a solution to that. I'll cling to that hope.

According to Axel, the Minero Morphosis is a Parasitic Entity, but The Platypus said it was a virus. From that, it's better to fact check what we learn from that, and double confirm before making assumptions. By the Great Mother, I may not turn into a dangerous thing, Persy is perhaps right to be optimist. ...but I'll leave this part to him, I must stay focus about that, I can't let my guard down.

If I had to guess with the supposed insanity fact, I'd go more with the Parasite idea. And I have a slight hope that it is a parasite, as it means there's a chance to remove it, or perhaps communicate with it, who knows.
So from the book, the recruitment message and finally Axel's knowledge: it's a parasitic entity, transforming me into a Minero, a Civilization being constantly at war and trying to conquest the world. But why?

Insanity/Deranged ↪ If it's a parasite and talk to its host, it could be why they turn crazy. ↪ Or perhaps their sickness turn them mad, or do they have illusions? ↪ Transforming into a different species who have a different way of thinking, being painful for the body, but also for the mind as it's being reconfigured to fit the new species, it could explain that.

Recognizing among each other ↪ I didn't had the chance (or misfortune) to meet other infected humanoids, but I had this weird familiar feeling near the crystallized corpses at The Dome. Why however?
Fast transformation ↪ You're supposed to fully transform in one day according to Paildreo, except if you're "lucky" enough to become a Minero Hybrid instead.
Slow transformation ↪ With my extended lifespan, it could be a slow transformation. But it could be only a "me" case. ↪ Reflecting on our interaction with Fen back at the station, they matured in a matter of weeks after staying a child for decades, could it be that it's the same for me? Could it be that the transformation is catching up and that I'm turning much more faster than expected now? ↪ Along the fact I've been put in a magical sleep through a deal, it could be a consequence from that.
Coma ↪ Is it a me-thing or everybody went through it? And every time it happened, I'm turning closer into a crystalline entity. ↪ Looks like a me-specific problem, due to Paildreo's deal.

Vivid dreams ↪ Did I had visions or vivid dreams? It happened both times, it's hard to tell. ↪ I hope it is unrelated, and more assistance from the Great Mother, or the Ancestors guiding me.

More powerful than the deities ↪ With that Stone Giant corpse... I can't help imagining someone like me murdered it.
Bringing doom everywhere ↪ What if: rocks and stones are minerals. I don't know to what I'm turning into, but what if the Stone Giants were people in a similar case? Let's hope I would turn into a guardian instead. ↪ They're always at war, but why? Are they looking to colonize and expand? We need to learn more about the Minero civilization itself, as understand their goal could perhaps give a larger picture.

When The Wyrd happened, I fainted, and only woke up several decades later from my coma. I noticed I started to lose my silver taint and became more bleak. I'm apparently turning more and more purple, but I didn't had the chance to look at myself for a while. (or had the courage, at least) ↪ That's not what happened, I lost the memory of a full year, but I was put into a coma to slow or stop the progression.
It's not visual only, as it changed me deeply. I used to be able to do an icy breath and being unbothered by cold. Now I feel cold as everybody else, and I'm doing instead some of this white glowing breath.
I still look and feel like I'm youngish, and yet I'm almost 120, I should've died of old age 4 decades ago. Somehow my body stopped aging, or do I age in a different way? ↪ It could be tied to the fact I've been put in a magical sleep by a powerful entity, and it slowed down my aging for a while, perhaps now I resumed my normal aging, I could die in 20-40ish years, except if that theory is true and it keeps me alive.
I developed instinctively a way to summon these weird purple daggers, even if I collapsed shortly after revealing this potential. I don't recall precisely how long I was out.
I have some surges helping me to unleash my abilities I already master. I can't do that often, but it's already been useful. ↪ I can do that more often. Furthermore, these surges happen during a fight. ↪ I'm more consistent with what I already master, but I don't know if it's because of doing it again and again... or if it's a consequence of my transformation.
I again collapsed and been into a coma for a week after fighting for our lives with the group, and I gained the ability to fly briefly, but I haven't notice a physical change. (perhaps I turned more purple?)
I can understand and speak Celestial, is this related to the origin or the virus, or is it a side-effect? ↪ If it's a parasite, that would make more sense, and perhaps a lead on its origin?
I collapsed another time for two weeks into a coma, and my scales are shining more and my facial features which makes me look like a dragonborn looks like more a crystalline entity.
I don't really know about what I saw during both of my comas if they were vivid dreams or visions, the last one is concerning, it would be good to know if it's a vision of the future or just me going mad (and hence fore confirming the deranged part, I sense a lose/lose situation). ↪ Could be the Ancestors granting me Wisdom however, or it's an in-between case which improved my innate relation with the spirits? If only I wasn't that far from home...
I'm able to create a temporary mental link between me and a few persons which allow us to communicate mentally for a few hours. ↪ It may be more than communicating verbally, as after an imposed nightmare, my asleep friends lived it too. But I don't know if it was a despair call, or something I could do again.
I'm now able to throw my dagger and to appear where I threw it.
I grew up a few inches and my limbs elongated over time, and I've become even more agile. Along that I became even more crystalline. ↪ That won't help when reuniting with Paildreo... I wonder how close I am to the end, and yet I'm still myself. If we supposed I've always been myself, and that I'm not a Minero already. (which somehow would be a good thing, as it could prove that perhaps we could live in peace?)
Apparently my case is a special case, as I'm a kind of Minero Hybrid, as I kept more or less my original humanoid shape and stayed myself.
My wings who used to be more ethereal are definitively real during a brief moment, to the point I have permanent stocks, being the base of my wings.
